AC Motors Structure of Reversible Motors
Reversible motors have a built-in friction brake mechanism (friction brake) at the rear of the motor. This brake mechanism is installed for the following purposes.
- To improve the instant reversing characteristics by adding a frictional load.
- To reduce overrun.
Structurally, constant pressure is applied to the brake shoes to make them actuate.
The brake shoe is designed with an integral structure to minimize age-related changes, and it uses a material with excellent wear resistance.
It has a certain holding force, but due to this structure, there is a limit to the braking force, and we set it to approximately 10 % of the motor's output torque.
