Q.I am using an AZ Series EtherNet/IP compatible driver. A fixed I/O SET-ERR signal is ON. What kind of signal is SET-ERR?

A.

This signal is output when a value outside the setting range is set for the operation mode, position, speed, start/shift rate, stop rate, operating current, or transfer destination in direct data operation.

Parameters for Direct Data Operation

Name Setting Range
Direct Data Operation Operation Type 0: No setting
1: Absolute positioning
2: Incremental positioning (Reference for command position)
3: Incremental positioning (Reference for feedback position)
7: Continuous operation (Position control)
8: Wrap absolute positioning
9: Wrap shortcut positioning
10: Wrap FWD direction absolute positioning
11: Wrap RVS direction absolute positioning
12: Wrap absolute pushing
13: Wrap shortcut pushing
14: Wrap FWD direction pushing
15: Wrap RVS direction pushing
16: Continuous operation (Speed control)
17: Continuous operation (Pushing)
18: Continuous operation (Torque)
20: Absolute positioning push-motion
21: Incremental positioning push-motion (Reference to command position)
22: Incremental positioning push-motion (Reference for feedback position)
Direct Data Operation Position -2,147,483,648~2,147,483,647 step
Direct Data Operation Speed -4,000,000~4,000,000 Hz
Direct Data Operation Starting/Changing Rate* 1 - 1,000,000,000
(1 = 0.001 kHz/s, 1 = 0.001 s, or 1 = 0.001 ms/kHz)
Direct Data Operation Stopping Rate* 1 - 1,000,000,000
(1 = 0.001 kHz/s, 1 = 0.001 s, or 1 = 0.001 ms/kHz)
Direct Data Operation Operating Current 0~1,000 (1 = 0.1 %)
Direct Data Operation Forwarding Destination 0: Execution memory
1: Buffer memory
  • *Do not set to 0. 0 is out of the setting range, so SET-ERR will be output.
