Connector Type (IP66) for Usage in Wet Conditions - Splash Resistant Test

"Splash Resistant Test"* Passed  - Original Evaluation of Oriental Motor

This test is an evaluation of endurance, including aging, which cannot be shown by the IP code alone.
We have conducted the Splash Resistant Test with our original evaluation criteria to confirm that water does not penetrate the inside of the motor.

  • *This is a test based on Oriental Motor’s own conditions and methods, and does not guarantee trouble-free operation.

Waterproof Endurance Test Method and Evaluation Criteria

Thermal shock test, vibration test, and water jet tests are conducted in this order to confirm that water does not penetrate the inside of the motor.

① Thermal Shock Test

Taking into consideration the endurance over time as a waterproof structure, a thermal shock test is conducted to accelerate deterioration.

② Vibration Test

Vibration stresses are applied under the appropriate conditions to account for post-accelerated deterioration adequacy.

③ Water Jet Test

The test is conducted at a water pressure of 30 kPa and a flow rate of 12.5 L/min, assuming a water spray equivalent to 3 minutes per day.
