Electric Linear Slide/Cylinder: Table Deflection and Rigidity of Electric Linear Slide
When load moment is applied to the table of an electric linear slide, the table is supported by the linear guide. The action of load moment causes balls in the guide block to deflect, and as a result, displacement of the load is observed.
Shown below are the actual displacements that were measured when load moments were applied to an electric linear slide.
[Measurement Conditions]
A 100 mm overhung plate was fixed on an electric linear slide table and a load moment equivalent to the dynamic permissible moments (MP, MY, MR) was applied in each direction. The deflection of the tip (ΔtA, ΔtB, ΔtC) was measured under these conditions.

- *The deflection of the 100 mm overhang plate is ignored.
- *The deflection characteristics do not change between X-table and Y-table.
