Q.I am using an AZ Series EtherNet/IP compatible driver. The motor started moving suddenly when power supply was turned on. What are the possible causes?

A.

Depending on the settings of the scanner (host controller), it may retain the register information just before the power supply is shut down.
Since the retained contents are written immediately after the driver power supply is turned ON, the motor may start moving.
If necessary, set the device to clear its values when the power supply is rebooted.

Refer to the setup manual for the register retention settings of the scanner.
