Q.Can I use a commercial LAN cable to connect the network converter to the driver? 　(Applicable Products: NETC01-CC, NETC02-CC, NETC01-M2, NETC01-M3, NETC01-ECT)

You can use any product that meets the following specifications.

  • EIA-485 compliant
  • Straight cable
  • Shielded twisted-pair wire (TIA/EIA-568B CAT5e min. is recommended)

The total extension distance from the network converter to the driver at the end should be 50 meters max.

Connection example

100 mm and 250 mm RS-485 communication cables are sold separately as accessory cables.
This cable is identical to the cable included with the network converter. Please consider this option when increasing the number of connected units.
