Return-to-Electrical Home Operation (Return operation)

Electrical Home
(Soft home)

The controller itself grasps the absolute position from the positioning operation start position using an internal counter. The position where this counter value reaches 0, i.e., the position where positioning operation is started, is called the electrical home. When you want to return a load from an arbitrary position to the positioning start position, you can automatically return it to the electrical home (positioning start position) by performing return-to-electrical home operation.

Electrical Home
Differences between Electrical Home and Mechanical Home

The electrical home is the stop position when the return-to-mechanical home operation with offset is performed. The position of the electrical home can be changed, but the position of the mechanical home is unchanging because the sensor position is the home.

Home Offset Function

By performing a home offset, the home (electrical home) can be set separately from the mechanical home. If the return-to-electrical home operation is executed after the positioning operation, it will return to the position set by the home offset.

Home Offset Function

The reset range to the electrical home is ±16777215 pulses.
When this is exceeded, return-to-electrical home operation is performed for ±16777215 pulses.
(The reset range for the absolute mode is -8388608 to +8388607 pulses.)

Application 1 Palletizing:
The electrical home is used when you want to set up a home for working separately from the mechanical home.

Application 2 Assembly Position Compensation:
The electrical home is used when the position of the home deviates from the mechanical home in working when assembling linear slides, etc.
