Q.I am using an AZ Series EtherNet/IP compatible driver. How should I set the IP address?

A.

There are three setting methods for the driver’s IP address.

How to Set the IP Address Using Parameters

  1. Set the IP address setting switch (IP ADDR) on the driver body to 0 (00 h).
  2. Change the "Configuration Control" parameter in the "Communication and I/F Function" of MEXE02 to "Parameter."
  3. Set "IP Address 1~4" to any value.
  4. Turn the control power supply back on. The settings will be reflected after the control power supply is turned on again.

How to Set the IP Address Using the IP Address Setting Switch on the Driver Body

  1. Use the IP address setting switch (IP ADDR) on the driver body to set the IP address in hexadecimals.
  2. Turn the control power supply back on. The settings will be effective after the control power supply is turned on again.
  • *Only the 4th octet can be set with the IP address setting switch (Initial Value: 192.168.1.1~192.168.1.254).
  • *For AZD-KREP, the setting range of the 4th octet is 1~14.

How to Set the IP Address Automatically Using DHCP

  1. Set the IP address setting switch (IP ADDR) on the driver body to 0 (00 h).
  2. Change the "Configuration Control" parameter in the "Communication and I/F Function" of MEXE02 to "DHCP Server."
  3. Turn the control power supply back on. The settings will be reflected after the control power supply is turned on again.
